Final Blog

Reflect on how you've expanded your Producing knowledge this semester. This semester has been an interesting one. This class was certainly a lot of work but overall, not too bad if I kept up with said work. I am somewhat glad that I chose a project that I am not planning to produce in the immediate future; this class really works best when you can come up with imaginary numbers, dates, and subjects. It helped me practice while learning. I know that if I had chosen to pre-produce my summer 2 project, I would have gotten too close to the project and nitpicked every detail to the point of burnout. Though it is sad that I have produced a full project that i will likely not work on for a few years, it helps to know that I have laid the groundwork for this project when it is time to pick it back up and start working on it again. Though this class was hard, it's nice to know that I have accomplished something this semester that I likely wouldn't have if not pushed by my peers and ...

  For the "Equipment" portion of this assignment, what considerations were at the front of your mind? What wheels were turning after doing research into rentals vs. purchases? As you begin to think about post-graduation what ways might you approach these needs?   I love researching, comparing, pricing, and finding new equipment. This use to be my full-time job and I loved every second of it. Finding the right equipment for the specific job is my specialty. Storytelling is why I got into film whereas technology is the reason I got into the camera / lighting department. There are endless gadgets and gizmos when it comes to filmmaking equipment and I honestly cannot get enough haha. So, yes, I enjoyed this last assignment.
